On the 25th of April 2015 it was the 100 year since the landing at Gallipoli in world war 1 witch was this year and what they did is they had two light shows at the wellington war memorial. I went to both of the light shows there and I found them very interesting especially the one behind the war memorial it was longer and showed a lot more like it showed pictures of the Anzac trenches and pictures of them like leaving and when they were in the boats and all of that was very interesting but also sad and for some people very emotional. I also went to a parade that started at parliament and that one was cool because they had these wooden bus type thing and one of the double-decker buses had a New Zealand flag and when they went under a tree the flag pole snapped...it was very funny and there was this solider standing on stairs because they were like on the out side and so he was just standing then next second there was part of a flag on his shoulder there was part of a flag. on Anzac day the 25th I went to the dawn service and there on one of the screens there was pictures of the people in the army who have fought in any type of war at anytime so there was people from world war one and two and people who fought in Afghanistan and those were the people who had died :(
